Getting around the city

In the City of Buenos Aires, the public transportation system includes 336 bus lines, seven train lines, seven subway lines, and nine Metrobus corridors. All of these can be paid for using the SUBE card, which is very affordable (see fares). Many of these transportation options have stops close to UTDT. In the subway (metro), it is also possible to pay with physical MasterCard or Visa debit and credit cards, as well as these cards in contactless mode. Contactless payment with Visa and MasterCard is also enabled on buses. If you use your phone to pay, make sure to store it carefully afterward, as theft of these devices is unfortunately relatively common.

SUBE Card

SUBE cards can be purchased and recharged at multiple points throughout the city and cost $1500. A digital version, SUBE Digital, is currently being implemented as an alternative to the physical card. You can check how to obtain and use it at this link.

Buses

Each bus line is identified by its number and the colours on the front. Some lines, such as 59 or 60, have two different routes under the same number; in these cases, the specific route is indicated. Bus stops are located every 3 to 5 blocks. Buses run 24 hours a day, every day of the week, although at night and on public holidays, frequency is reduced.

These are the buses that have stops close to UTDT if you came from:
- Belgrano:  41, 42, 44, 63, 65, 67, 80, 107, 113, 114, 130, 161, 168 and 184.
