Getting to Buenos Aires
By air
Buenos Aires has two airports. The main international airport is Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza, EZE). Most international flights arrive there, with the exception of some flights from neighboring countries. The airport is located on the outskirts of the city.
Public transportation connections from Ezeiza to the city are limited and not very convenient. The easiest and most reliable way to reach the city is by taxi or Uber. The journey typically takes around 40 minutes, but travel time can be longer during rush hour, especially between 7:00 and 9:00 am.
Some options for booking a car beforehand are On Baires and Taxi Ezeiza.
You can also take a shuttle bus to downtown Buenos Aires. You can book a seat here: Tienda Leon.
The second, smaller airport is Jorge Newbery Airport (Aeroparque, AEP). It serves domestic flights and some flights from neighboring countries. Aeroparque is located within the city, which makes travel to most destinations significantly faster. From the airport, you can easily take a taxi or an Uber.
By bus
Travelers coming from nearby regions of Argentina may also arrive by bus. Most long-distance buses arrive at the Retiro bus terminal, which is well connected to the rest of the city by public transportation, taxi, and Uber.

Venues
Most of the conference will take place at Torcuato Di Tella University, located in the area of Belgrano.
Nearby bus lines are: 15; 29; 42; 107; 130.
Note that, in most cases, there is a 10 minute walk from the bus stop to the university building.
The nearest metro stop is Congreso de Tucuman on line D, which is 1.8 km away from the university building.
The university has a large cafeteria, one restaurant, and two coffee shops. All of them offer lunch options around noon, with the cafeteria and the restaurant providing the widest selection.
If you prefer to eat or have coffee outside the university, the nearest options are located on Avenida del Libertador, about a 10-minute walk away.
Getting around in Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires has six metro (subway) lines and an extensive bus network. Each ride must be paid for individually, either on the bus or before entering the metro station. There are no daily or weekly passes. Payment by credit card is available.
Taxis are widely available on main streets, and Uber also operates throughout the city.
Traffic in Buenos Aires can be heavy, particularly during rush hours (8:00–10:00 am and 4:00–6:00 pm). If you are traveling by car or bus between different parts of the city, you should allow at least 30 minutes for the journey.
Accommodation in Buenos Aires
Torcuato Di Tella University is located in the residential neighbourhood of Belgrano. While the area is easy to reach, there are limited accommodation options within walking distance of the campus. We therefore recommend looking for accommodation in nearby neighborhoods such as Palermo, Recoleta, Villa Urquiza, and Villa Crespo.
Travel time to Di Tella from these areas is approximately 30–40 minutes by car and 40–50 minutes by bus.
Buenos Aires offers a wide range of short-term rentals, which are often significantly less expensive than hotels. Approximate price ranges (in euros) are as follows:
Close to Di Tella: 50–120
Palermo: 35–70
Villa Crespo: 35–70
Recoleta: 30–50

We will also post a list of hotels with special arrangements and discounted rates soon.
