Registration

 Please note

To participate in the conference, you need to complete two separate steps:

1. Become a paid-up member of the MSA:  you can take out or renew membership here
2. Register for the conference by paying the conference fee (to be paid on this website, here, after logging in)

These are managed in two different systems.
MSA membership does not include conference registration.

CONFERENCE FEES & IMPORTANT DATES

We have three categories of registration fee for MSA Members:

  • Reduced Fee – 50 EUR (for low-income participants)
  • Standard Fee – 110 EUR
  • High-earners' Fee –180 EUR (members who pay the high-earner conference fee help sustain MSA and support scholars from lower-income regions and early-career researchers)

and a fee for non-presenting Participants – 20 EUR (Please note that this fee is not publicly listed. If you would like more information or wish to inquire about it, feel free to contact us directly and we will be happy to assist you, buenosairesconference@memorystudiesassociation.org)

The registration system will close on 5 April 2026. All presenters must be registered by this date in order to finalise the conference programme on time.

MSA MEMBERSHIP

IMPORTANT:

All conference presenters must be MSA members in good standing

  • If you are not currently a member you should sign up for membership here
  • If you are already a member and your membership is set to elapse in the coming months, please ensure you have renewed it before the conference.

Membership fees enable us to sustain and expand our activities. They directly support the daily operations of the MSA and fund key initiatives such as the MSA Scholars at Risk program or subsidies for Working Groups' events. These contributions enable us to sustain and expand our activities, fostering collaboration, scholarly exchange, and the protection of academic freedom within our community. Please note that most of our work is unpaid, and  that we contribute our time voluntarily to keep MSA operating.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

Participants based in Argentina

Participants based in Argentina will be eligible for a cost-free membership for the 2026–2027 period. Those involved can expect an email with instructions on how to proceed.

Conference Grants recipients will be notified in the second half of March.

  • Application deadline: February 28, 2026

attendance policy

  • We kindly remind you that all conference fees are non-refundable

This policy is necessary as, once registered, the associated costs for venues, services, and other arrangements remain fully charged to MSA Buenos Aires, even if an individual withdraws for personal, professional, or travel-related reasons. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

  • Registration and full payment of fees is compulsory for attendance at any of the conference events.
  • Please remember that only paid-up members of the MSA may present at the conference; any presenter arriving at the conference registration desk without an active MSA membership will not be allowed to present; nor will their registration fee be refunded.
