Panel title: Between academia, administration and activism: experiences of memorial reparation in Argentina.

Abstract: Fifty years on from the coup d'état that ushered in the last military dictatorship, this panel aims to provide a forum for exchange and debate on the various forms taken by initiatives to honour the memory of victims of state terrorism and to carry out documentary reparation of personnel files, undertaken by national universities and scientific and technical bodies in Argentina. The panel will analyse the challenges involved in reconstructing lists of those subjected to reprisals, the work carried out in the documentary restoration of the files, and the organisation of commemorative events. The aim is to foster joint reflection amongst colleagues who led these projects, to share the lessons learnt along the way, and to collaborate with other institutions wishing to undertake similar initiatives.

Título del panel: Entre la academia, la gestión y el activismo: experiencias de reparación memorial en Argentina.

Resumen: A 50 años del golpe de Estado que inauguró la última dictadura militar, este panel propone un espacio de intercambio y debate sobre las formas que asumieron distintas experiencias de homenaje y reparación documental de legajos de personal de víctimas del terrorismo de Estado realizadas universidades nacionales y organismo de ciencia y técnica de Argentina. Se analizarán los desafíos que supone el proceso de reconstrucción de nóminas de represaliados y represaliadas, las tareas desplegadas en la reparación documental de los legajos y las actividades de organización de los actos de homenajes. El objetivo es propiciar una reflexión conjunta entre colegas que lideraron esos proyectos, compartir las lecciones aprendidas en este camino y colaborar con otras instituciones que quieran emprender acciones similares.
